With piles of snow over the holiday season I was lucky enough to as well have piles of time with my family in a winter wonderland. This was a good thing.

I also took my first steps in trying to turn my internet presence into some kind of a revenue generating exercise. Among other things I added Google AdSense to my podcast blog to see what would happen. Google chooses ads that are supposed to be suited to the blog readers based on the content of the blog. Certainly I see some dictionary service ads coming up there but I wonder if ads for religious products are quite targeted correctly; some confusion there between an interest in words and an interest in the word of God I guess.

In particular I’m wondering about the repeated appearance of ads telling people how to lose belly fat.
